Riders Rescue was created with the intention to reduce fatalities and improve the survival rates for those injured in crashes involving two wheel vehicles. Although there are other out of state and national organizations that do cover similar focuses, they do not have the pulse on the specific needs of the state of Indiana. Just because many states share similarities, doesn't mean they're exactly the same.

Riders Rescue offers basic motorcycle first aid training for the general public so that motorcyclists and bystanders can help in the event of a motorcycle or any other two wheel trauma (bicycle/scooter/motorized bicycle) accident. Our goal is to have as many Hoosiers trained and prepared to handle motorcycle and two wheel accidents as possible, with training available to all corners of the state. This course is NOT intended for licensed healthcare providers nor is a replacement for state licensed EMS training unless specified otherwise.

Riders Rescue aims to contribute to the safety of our community through the instruction and training of vital motorcycle first aid skills with compassion, professionalism and dignity.

Code of Ethics: 

To minimize fatalities, conserve life, alleviate suffering, to do no harm and encourage equal availability of emergency medical care education. As a project that deals with health - we instruct for all regardless of race, creed, color, nationality, age, ancestry, sex, union status, religion, or sexual orientation.

To better offer flexibility, we have a blended course. For blended there is an online portion that has to be completed first and an instructor led classroom skill portion. Along with the basic course, there are also intermediate and advanced classes as well. All specific two wheel related trauma training is covered in person in a classroom setting.

Cost for the level 1 Basic runs about $135.00 per student with the level 2 Intermediate courses run about $250.00 per student, unless otherwise noted by a generous sponsor. Upon course completion, student will receive a trauma kit per class course level, handbook and a frameable certificate of completion. Biker Down Indiana members and verified Veterans receive discounts on classes and materials.

We are dedicated to equipping motorcyclist and individuals with the knowledge and tools needed to respond effectively in emergencies and be prepared to save lives. We stock Trauma First Aid Kits (TFAK) and various supplies personally and professionally selected and assembled for the prepared motorcyclist or individual.
